IRS Employment Tax Audit

IRS Employment Tax Audit - Beginning in February, 2010, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will begin randomly auditing 6,000 companies for employment tax compliance. The audits will focus primarily on the following:

Worker Classification (employee vs. contract)
Fringe Benefits
Reimbursed Expenses
Officer Compensation (executive)
Non-Filers

Trend will be providing more resources and tools for preparation over the next couple of months.
